Home Delivery

I never know what I'm going to come across while I'm zipping along on the country roads around Woodhaven. Kids riding ATVs, guys on tractors, a large trailer abandoned while the big machine it hauled works on a field somewhere...not to mention any number of soon-to-be roadkill. Today, though, was a new one.

Just past Licking Cow, I noticed a neighbor standing in the street with a handheld stop sign. (Come to think of it, that's one thing I don't have in my emergency road kit.) There were several large trucks and a pilot car. As I approached, I got to see the neighbor's house get delivered. Well, half of the house. I think it was the back half. It managed to negotiate a pretty tight turn. I think I saw the neighbor start breathing again.

When I drove by again a couple hours later, the house was still in the driveway. Not sure where the other half is. Perhaps that will be tomorrow's excitement.
