Well, I’ve finished packing.
Meanwhile, the cat is back at the vet stubbornly refusing to pee in an unfamiliar box so we can get a “free catch” sample for some more tests. Rob just brought home 70 paving stones for “a little project” he has planned during my absence. And I’ve somehow managed to get three weeks of clothes into one inexplicably unstuffed suitcase which now has me panicking that I’ve horribly under-packed and forgotten something critical.
Although it’s barely 3:30, I know it’s 5:00 somewhere so I think I’ll have a glass of wine to calm down a bit.
Stay tuned for updates from far-flung locales!

It just has to be past noon, not 5.
I won't tell anyone anyway. Have fun on the excursion.

Congratulations on your ONE suitcase :-) I'd appreciate a copy of your packing list!!! You'll be fine. You can always BUY clothes! And other than your Mom, you're probably not going to see these people again. Have a ball!!!
Well, the clothes were all in one suitcase. I had a second, smaller one for toiletry items and back-saving paraphernalia.
I actually followed two very effective suggestions from that packing book written by that insane woman. I rolled my shirts and I made liberal use of gallon-sized ziplock bags which I filled and then pressed the air out of. Rob said repeatedly how stunned he was that I was able to get so much stuff in my suitcase. I even had room left over coming home! Impressive since I did about 90% of my Christmas shopping on the trip!
