ASCII and you shall receive

Some days it’s more noticeable than others that when it comes right down to it, I am a total geek. Today would be one of those days.

We’re working with a friend on developing a new website. The website needs a user name and password to access the Admin area (geeking out with me yet?). We've been emailing back and forth what those might be, going out of our way not to actually TYPE the user name and password for some unfounded fear that someone would hack into one of our systems and figure out how to access a non-profit’s website. Yes, we could have just talked on the phone, but, well, we don’t actually have our friend’s phone number because he’s 21 and is much easier to reach on email.

This morning I got the following email from our wonderfully geeky friend:

01000111011100100110010101100101011101000110100101101110011001110111001100101100000011010000101000001101000010100100011101101111011101000010000001101001011101000010110000100000011101000110100001100101001000000110001101101000011000010110111001100111011001010111001100100000011010000110000101110110011001010010000001100010011001010110010101101110001000000110110101100001011001000110010100101100001000000110000101101100011011000010000001101001011100110010000001110011011001010110001101110101011100100110010100101110001000000101000001101100011001010110000101110011011001010010000001110100011001010111001101110100001000000110100101110100001000000111010001101111001000000111011001100101011100100110100101100110011110010010111000001101000010100000110100001010010100110110100101100111011011100110010101100100001011000000110100001010010010000110000101101110011100110010011000100011001101100011010100110101001100110011001100111011

Isn't this the coolest thing ever??? I’m quite tempted to write our Christmas card this year in binary. Sure would shorten the list for next year, I bet.
