Hear ye, hear ye

This post is at the request of Dear Supportive Husband who encouraged me to start this little blogging adventure a few months ago. I’m having a blast, much to my surprise. I was quite nervous about putting my ramblings out there where anybody might stumble upon them. I was also nervous that I might not have much to say. Instead, I am enjoying writing again. The year-old icky memories of a writing class gone bad are fading. And I’m learning not to edit myself before I’ve typed a single word. But this isn’t what Rob requested I post.

I am eager to read comments anyone might want to post here. I guess Rob – being the DSH that he is – cautioned some potential readers against showing signs they were actual readers, for fear of freaking me out and returning me to the world of wistfully writing only in my head. But so far, none of the occasional comments I have received either on the blog here or via email have freaked me out. To the contrary, they have delighted me, made me laugh, made me curious, made me think. So, if you’ve wanted to comment but have hesitated due to Rob’s loving caution, you may now feel free to walk about the cabin and comment as you wish. I also found a setting to make it so you don’t have to be a registered blog member to comment. So, whoo hoo! Let the chit chat begin!

(And if you are interested in reading a similarly authored wine blog, send me an email (see Profile) and I’ll send you the link.)

Yay! Hi Toni. It's clear that you're putting a lot of heart into your writing, and I'm glad you're feeling comfortable with it. I've laughed out loud at some of your posts! Getting the conversation flowing will only make it better.

Thanks for your support -- and laughter!

You know I love your "Ramblings." Down home, but funny and to the point. Keep it up!
Carolyn - - yeah, you know the one!

I'm enjoying every post, and I'm a little envious that you manage to write so consistently.

I love being unfettered! (yes, Rob was being very protective) I too am totally enjoying the blog (you're my first blog "blush"). Can't wait to hear more from Woodhaven.

Thanks, Aid! Your comment means a lot, especially coming from a published author. As for my ability to write consistently, I would direct your attention to the "So what do you do with your time?" post. :-)

Ok, Eileen, I have to fess up. Remember, I live in the untechy boonies here (DSL is new to these parts, for instance). What is a "blog blush"?? More fessing: I even Goggled the term to try to figure it out so I wouldn't have to reveal my unsavvy-ness. Man, some days it's clearer than others that I've left the Bay Area!

I was blushing because I'd never read a blog before. (At least I knew what a blog was -- Pete had no clue). Where's the little emoticon thing-majiggy when you need them?

OH, DUH! Yeah, we could use a few emoticons on the blog. In any case, I'm honored to be your first. :-)
