FUN:
- Demolition Derby - usually my favorite event during fair season. Instead, this year, it wasn't quite as smashing as past years. Not enough dirt, not enough smoke, no busted radiators. The best part was the John Deere-themed car getting run up and over the log barrier. Didn't know until tonight that if your car leaves the arena, even not on its own accord, it's out of the competition. The other amusing part was the brother who helped dislodge his sister's car so he could then run after her. Guess some stuff you never outgrow.
- Being pitched a goat - while wandering through the Goat Barn tonight, a 9-year-old and his slightly older sister tried to hit me up to buy one of their market goats. My eventual reply that I didn't know how to cook seemed to befuddle both of them enough that they stopped pitching. I wonder how goat meat tastes with jalapenos?
- More llovely llamas
- Two goats
- A rabbit
- A cavy (aka a guinea pig)
- Just missed: a camel and the Geico Gecco
- German sausage
- Diet Pepsi
- Corn on the cob
- Grizzly kabob (skewered strawberries drizzled with chocolate)
- Frozen lemonade
- Funnel cake
- Fried green tomatoes
- Peanut butter fudge
- And finally, for the first time during Fair 2007...two Tums. I'm pretty certain it's the sausage.
