Keeping it clean by avoiding the obvious

NOTE: Written several days ago when we didn't have reasonably priced Internet...

We are enjoying our Dam vacation so far. It's really a Dam nice ship that we've been living on. All the Dam employees are quite friendly and accommodating, if not a bit too much so first thing in the morning. (As adorable as Patrick the Plate Hander-Outer is, I really could do without the serenading before I've had my Cheerios. Well, OK, even after.).

It seems the ships in the Holland America line all have names ending in “dam.” There's the Zaandam, the Westerdam, the Rotterdam, and the Amsterdam, among others. So, capitalizing on a Dam clever marketing scheme, the wise Dutch folk have a full line of Dam Merchandise including Dam coffee mugs, Dam t-shirts, Dam baseball hats, and Dam playing cards.

To amuse ourselves while waiting in line to reboard the Dam ship after our daily shore excursions, Rob and I and our traveling companions have come up with names of future Holland America boats. Feel free to join in the fun!

Might we suggest the following Dam cruisers:
  • The Hooverdam
  • The Beaverdam
  • The Claude vandam
  • The Dentaldam
  • The Hotdam
  • The Tinkersdam (submission from a midwesterner)
